Sant Josep de sa Talaia
Sant Josep de sa Talaia is situated in the southwest of the island. It is a charming village in the foothills of Sa Talaia, the highest mountain on the island, which measures 475 metres.
It is divided in 4 small towns: Sant Josep de sa Talaia, Sant Agustí des Vedrà, Sant Jordi de ses Salines and Es Cubells.
Sant Josep is the 'capital' of the area of the same name and boasts some excellent restaurants, shops and bars. The main street is lined by an impressive church where you can sit under the shade of the courtyard trees for a peaceful repose. Life here happens at a much slower pace than in the larger resorts.
